This is easily one of the most ambitious and visually stunning condo developments our country will see to this date. Finally a true luxury condo development, one that isn’t using that word lightly. King Toronto Condos may not have the slickest name on the block, but it will certainly change the way Canadians see condo living.
The King Toronto Condos development is currently in its pre construction and sales phase, and is being built by Westbank and Allied Properties. The visually striking buildings have been designed by Danish architects Bjarke Ingels Group and locals Diamond + Schmitt Architects Inc.
Spanning sixteen stories and half a city block, Kings Toronto will have 514 units ranging from one to three bedrooms. Adding more homes to the area is great, but I was happy to hear that there will also be over 180,000 square feet for retail space, and 60,000 square feet of office space.
I’m really curious to see how their penthouses will play out in this design, they will surely be scooped up quick. The two and three bedroom units should be quote spacious, and the one bedroom homes are a great starting point for first time luxury buyers.
This is going to definitely increase density in an already busy place but I welcome the change, it will be for the better. It’s about time we had more artistic condo developments instead of the rushed, poorly built shoeboxes.
