This Oceanfront PEI Home Has Its Own Whale Watching Tower

I’m having a fun week with a handful of listings with unique features in homes that even I’ve never seen before. Today we continue that trend as we’re featuring a home in Edward Island that has its very own whale watching tower built right into it.

Michael Poczynek is the agent with the listing and he notes that this whale watching tower has a bit of fame behind it. Without naming anyone specific, he states that “This Cape Cod feel waterfront beach house inspired the magical creation of a number of published books written by a world-renowned author currently published”, so take that as you will.

Inside the house you’ll find a white spiral staircase that leads up into the whale watching tower. Up here it is quite the cozy space with a room for half a dozen people, however I’d enjoy this place all to myself happily for a few hours.

Up in the whale watching tower you can park yourself down at the table, get comfy in the chez lounge or head outside to the wrap around viewing deck. What a great place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and bust out the binoculars and see who can be first to spot a whale cruising on by.

The entire home itself is just gorgeous, and exactly what you would expect from a Cape Cod style home in PEI. It has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, most with incredible views and lots of natural light. Step outdoors and you can walk down to your own beach and enjoy a day in the sun.

It is on the market for $2,200,000 CAD with Michael Poczynek of Century 21 Realty over in PEI. You can call him directly via 902.626.6912 to learn more, or perhaps talk about a viewing that includes a peek at that whale watching tower.
